Training is very active and involves self-defence techniques balanced with a variety of enjoyable activities to challenge and entertain the younger mind. Regular grading examinations and competitions encourage students to commit to regular practice and instructors provide every incentive to improve. Whilst emphasising safe enjoyable practice, instructors encourage self-confidence, control and a co-operative spirit among the students.

The timing and location of the junior classes are often arranged to provide for parents that also wish to participate.
